George Agan
Manchester based singer-songwriter, influenced by Bob Dylan and Oasis, but bringing along his own sound too. Confident and talented, his varied material is all-out rock with mellower edges; well worth a listen.

Wow. A singer-songwriter who gels so well with his band that on first listen you’d never guess was a singer-songwriter. 45 minutes of pulsing rock tunes with the mellow accoustic number ‘I’ll Try’ perfectly slid in left this reviewer dumbstruck. The best aspect here is that George knows that the guitar solo should be used to give something extra to the song, and not to give something extra to the guitarist’s ego. So whilst ‘Get off your Feet’ and ‘Running for your Time’, both great songs, didn’t feature any instrumentals, ‘Feel Alive’ and ‘My Way’ showed just how talented this young man is. These two tracks sound awesome on record, and sounded even better live. The solos didn’t just shoot up to the top of the neck straight away, they had a heavy blues feel, and truely conveyed the emotion of the performer and the song. He should’ve headlined.
