Owing as much to classic rock as contemporary indie and punk rock, TDS’ set is well worth witnessing. Their charismatic frontman holds this band together incredibly well, to the exten that their new guitarist Ed appeared to feel totally in control. Slick and well-rehearsed, ‘Birthday Boy’s mellower edge was an effective contrast to the standout track ‘Big Bad Boy’, a song with a sexy swagger, and a riff to match. It was also thrilling to see a young band covering, and covering well, Led Zeppelin material; ‘Rock n Roll’s style was different but well executed, and ‘Whole Lotta Love’s classic riff rang clear and true. Impressive performance.
