14/12/07Ahh…hardcore that isn’t just an explosion of emotion. Making full use of two talented guitarists, this band owe as much to death and thrash metal as they do to hardcore. Their sound is aboslutely immense; tight and heavier than a nine year hangover. They set out their mission right from the beginning of ‘Chuck Norris’; to annihilate the walls and very foundations of Club Academy with crushing and inventive breakdowns, mind-blowing twin axe solos and a sophisticated use of dynamics; it’s a wonder that people were still standing by the end of the epic ‘As Angels Fall from Grace’. This band deserve to go right to the top.
8/10 Set list:

- ‘Chuck Norris’
- ‘Portraits’
- ‘Your Missing Artery’

Carnage. This was the first time I’ve seen someone get thrown out of a pit at an unsigned gig. ‘As Angels From Grace’ needed only the first chord to start a war. But what makes this band so good is that they aren’t all about the pit. There’s stuff going on, musically. Harmonised leads, plenty of shred and interesting song structures that, rarely for young hardcore bands, actually flow. Nothing more to say; just make sure you check them out. And soon.
