Seemingly unable to care about the perils of attempting something new, and stubbornly defying classification from start to finish, PM & 65R have created a complex, refreshingly original sound, combining 3 part guitar harmonies with middle eastern influences, a highly skilled jazz drummer, and a singer with a mind bending vocal range. This is the band that those who are thoroughly bored with the formulaic mainstream indie scene have been waiting for, a band who sound better and better the more attention you pay to them; and they demand your attention, from the awesome intro riff of ‘We’ll Never Be From Manhattan’, to the cleverly titled and perfectly executed ‘Drama King’. This isn’t music for your standard, cheap indie club. This is music to get lost in, music to marvel at, music that will move you with every last note.
