Parade’s myspace describes their music as ‘life affirming, three minute blasts of pure adrenalin designed to pick you up by the scruff of the neck and take you on a breathless ride that you’ll just want to re-live over and over’. And they couldn’t be further from the truth. A ‘breathless ride’ from start to finish, their strictly-within-the genre set peaks with the emotional ‘When You’re Wrong’ and ‘Something’s Gotta Give’. Simple chord-based indie it may be, but it’s executed with style, with accomplishment, and above all, with feeling.
