Manchester University band Lahayna have planned an assult on the UK charts by spreading their single around the Uni and getting people to text into the UKtop 40. Do they deserve that hit?

It’s certainly enough to satisfy those who prefer mainstream music. With a haunting guitar riff reminiscent of John Fruscante (Red Hot Chilli Peppers) it’s clear that this band intend on constructing a memorable song. It’s not at all difficult to get into, and the dual vocals of the chorus offer a sing-a-long aspect that will appeal to many. A smooth blues solo tops it off; good luck to them.
