Sometime during this set, someone from Psycho Records turned up. And I hope they were checking this band out. If they weren’t, they need to talk to the boys upstairs. This was some of the most inventive indie rock I’ve heard in a very long time. Passionate duel vocals and a female singer with a phenomenal voice; original, or at least not obvious, lyrics, and a track right in the middle that nearly made me cry. Everything sounded as if it was meant to be there, and even guitar effects weren’t over used. What impressed me most was the lead guitarist, whose melodies and solos were biting, yet restrained so as not to sound pretentious. Top-notch performance.
