After hearing tonight’s set you seriously wouldn’t think that these guys have only been together for a couple of months. The level of sophistication, musical slickness and confident performance maintained throughout really is impressive.
A smooth intro complete with some nice minimalistic blues guitar work initially establishes quite a suave tone, before the heavier Led Zeppelin influences come to life over sexy, assured lead vocals from ‘Ready’ onwards. As the set progresses, it becomes clear that this is a real power guitar/strong female vocal combination with a sassy, groovy effect that turns it into an almost theatrical affair.
The only question remaining is will they continue to produce original engaging stuff? Time will tell, but it seems they have good formula from which to develop their sound.
